Baseball Game Preview: Southmoore SaberCats vs. Sapulpa Chieftains

The Southmoore SaberCats will challenge the Sapulpa Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Southmoore has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with six straight defeats, while Sapulpa will come in with six straight wins.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Southmoore and Norman North, and Norman North kept the tradition alive. The SaberCats fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 9-8 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Sapulpa made easy work of Victory Christian on Friday and carried off a 9-1 victory.

Sapulpa pushed their record up to 6-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Southmoore, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
