Soccer Game Preview: Eastland Christian vs. Riverbend Academy

The Eastland Christian Hurricanes are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against the Riverbend Academy Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Eastland Christian managed to keep up with The Rock until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Eastland Christian came up short against The Rock, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Riverbend Academy came up short against Southland Christian on Thursday and fell 5-3.

Riverbend Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Eastland Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Eastland Christian beat Riverbend Academy 5-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastland Christian since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
