Basketball Game Preview: South Gate Rams vs. Bell Eagles

The South Gate Rams will challenge the Bell Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for South Gate and four for Bell.

On Friday, South Gate came up short against Garfield and fell 41-33.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Elie Borrayo, who posted seven points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jose Macias was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Bell didn't have quite enough to beat South East on Friday and fell 40-37.

Like South Gate, Bell lost despite seeing results from several players. Danny Reyes led the charge by posting nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Moreno, who scored nine points.

Bell's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for South Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

South Gate didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bell in their previous meeting on January 14th, but they still walked away with a 30-26 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
