Gering had won four straight home games and Abby Schanaman did her part to make it five on Wednesday. The Gering Bulldogs came out on top against the Sidney Red Raiders by a score of 3-1 thanks in part to Schanaman, who had 13 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last three games she's played.
Gering walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 12-25, 25-10, 25-16.
Jacey Cochran paced Gering's offense, picking up 18 kills. Cochran got some help from
Aubrey Anderson and her 32 assists.
Jaxie John controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
