Basketball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Minico

Minico won the last time they faced Burley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Minico Spartans walked away with a 63-50 win over the Burley Bobcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

When it comes to explaining why Burley lost, don't look at Nash Gillette. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and three steals. Gillette is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Ryker Page was another key player, putting up eight points.

Minico's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Burley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Minico will be playing in front of their home fans against Wood River at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Minico is facing Wood River at the right time seeing as Wood River is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Burley, they will head out to challenge Twin Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Twin Falls will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Burley surely won't give up without a fight.
