Softball Game Preview: Notre Dame Titans vs. Valley Indians

The Notre Dame Titans are taking a road trip to face off against the Valley Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Notre Dame 3.1, Valley 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Notre Dame came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Logan Elm by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered since April 24, 2025.

Meanwhile, Valley had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Redstreaks.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Notre Dame, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-4.

Notre Dame got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Valley by a conclusive 19-0 score. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
