Baseball Game Preview: East Noble Knights vs. Eastside Blazers

East Noble and Eastside are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Knights will be playing at home against the Blazers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Noble took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Norwell, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. East Noble narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Norwell 3-2.

Parker Kerr made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Kerr wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ian Ramey, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastside, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Fort Wayne North Side get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blazers, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

East Noble's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-6. As for Eastside, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-7.
