After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North DeSoto, Northwood was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Woodlawn-Shreveport Knights to the tune of 42-0. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
A big part of Northwood's victory came down to the chemistry between Nathan Cervantes and his top target Duntavious Young. Cervantes threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes while Young picked up 109 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 109 receiving yards gave Young a new career-high.
Northwood's record is now 4-1. As for Woodlawn-Shreveport, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Northwood has already played their next contest, a 48-8 win against Booker T. Washington-Shreveport on the 9th. As for Woodlawn-Shreveport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 36-22 loss against Southwood on the 10th.
