Strake Jesuit waltzed into their game on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They secured a 61-55 W over the Fulshear Chargers. Given the Fighting Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Chargers are ranked 509th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aaron Thomas, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points. The dominant performance gave Thomas a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Goodwin, who went 5 of 8 en route to 14 points and five boards.

Strake Jesuit pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Fulshear, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.

Strake Jesuit has already played their next contest, a 63-50 victory against Alief Taylor on the 5th. As for Fulshear, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-55 defeat against George Ranch on the 5th.
