Football Game Preview: Palmetto Mustangs vs. Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers

The Palmetto Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto has given up an average of 34.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Palmetto is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They came up short against St. Joseph's Catholic, falling 42-21.

Meanwhile, Christ Church Episcopal fell victim to Southside Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 31-0 loss at the hands of the Sabres. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cavaliers have suffered since August 23, 2024.

Palmetto's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Christ Church Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Palmetto couldn't quite get it done against Christ Church Episcopal in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 17-9. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
