Volleyball Recap: St. Vincent-St. Mary Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Firestone

St. Vincent-St. Mary faced Firestone in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2. The Fighting Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

St. Vincent-St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Firestone, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Coincidentally, St. Vincent-St. Mary and Firestone will both be playing St. Charles the next time they take the court. The Fighting Irish will head out to face the Cardinals at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
