Basketball Recap: Hoosac Valley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Hoosac Valley and Drury squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Hoosac Valley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Drury Blue Devils by a score of 50-47. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-49 back in February.

Despite the defeat, Hoosac Valley saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tre Moynihan posted 14 points.

Hoosac Valley's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Drury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

Hoosac Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Drury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boston English at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Drury will be up against Boston English's rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.96 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
