Football Game Preview: St. Georges Tech Hawks vs. Middletown Cavaliers + Official Tickets

St. Georges Tech hasn't had much luck against Middletown recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hawks will head out to square off against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m.

St. Georges Tech is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Cape Henlopen, who was ranked 11th at the time (St. Georges Tech was ranked 14th). The Hawks took a 28-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Friday.

Meanwhile, Middletown came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Jaguars 32-7. Considering the Cavaliers have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Middletown's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for St. Georges Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

St. Georges Tech lost to Middletown on the road by a decisive 24-7 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
