Softball Recap: Edmonds-Woodway's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Edmonds-Woodway finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Glacier Peak Grizzlies, falling 11-2. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Edmonds-Woodway saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Sommer, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Edmonds-Woodway fell to 3-1. As for Glacier Peak, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Edmonds-Woodway will face off against Lynnwood at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lynnwood has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.6 runs per game on average), something Edmonds-Woodway will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glacier Peak, they will host Lake Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Stevens' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Glacier Peak's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
