Volleyball Recap: Bacon Academy's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Bacon Academy posted their closest victory since October 4, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Plainfield Panthers 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on October 2nd.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-90) Bacon Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 7-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Plainfield lost, don't look at Paige Sears. Despite the final result, she had 36 assists and 12 digs. Sears has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 18 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shae Valentin, who had 38 digs and two aces.
