Volleyball Game Preview: Haynes Academy vs. Cabrini Crescents

Haynes Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Cabrini Crescents at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Haynes Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Metairie Park Country Day, who was ranked tenth at the time (Haynes Academy was ranked eighth). Haynes Academy took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Metairie Park Country Day on Friday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Haynes Academy hasn't been shut out since back in September.

Meanwhile, Cabrini made easy work of Frederick A. Douglass on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crescents.

Cabrini's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Haynes Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 22-3.

Everything went Haynes Academy's way against Cabrini when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Haynes Academy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haynes Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
