Basketball Recap: Bluegrass United Comes Up Short

Bluegrass United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Washington County Commanders. The Bluehawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Commanders from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bluegrass United still got an impressive performance from Tristen Corbin, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points. What's more, Corbin also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Landon Graham was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Bluegrass United's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Washington County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

Coming up, Bluegrass United will take on Tournament Opponent on Thursday. As for Washington County, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against John Hardin at 7:30 p.m.
