Basketball Recap: West Rutland Piles Up the Points Against Mill River

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Rutland). They blew past the Mill River Minutemen, posting a 75-21 win. Given the Golden Horde's advantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Minutemen are ranked 60th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Rutland's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Mill River, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

West Rutland will welcome Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mill River, they will head out to face off against Poultney at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
