South is 10-0 against Independence since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The South Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Independence 76ers at 7:00 p.m. South is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.

South is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Briggs: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that South blew Briggs out of the water with a 66-19 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-8.

South relied on the efforts of John Glover, who posted 12 points, and Neko Tuff, who had nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Griffin, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 34th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 62-52 to Eastmoor Academy.

South's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything came up roses for South against Independence when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for South since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
