Preview: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers
The Taylor County Bulldogs will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Saturday, Taylor County came up short against Madison County and fell 66-54.
Meanwhile, FAMU DRS's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-40 defeat at the hands of Lincoln. While losing is never fun, FAMU DRS can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 638th, while Lincoln is ranked 106th).
Taylor County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for FAMU DRS, their defeat was their 14th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-15.
Taylor County strolled past FAMU DRS in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 75-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
