Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shelby). They blew past the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons 13-2 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Golden Lions considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Shelby's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will challenge Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
