Soccer Game Preview: Fike vs. J.H. Rose

The Fike Demons will head out to square off against the J.H. Rose Rampants at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fike will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Fike's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on East Wake with a sharp 9-0 victory. Given Fike's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while East Wake are ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, J.H. Rose hadn't done well against D.H. Conley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. J.H. Rose beat D.H. Conley by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that J.H. Rose have won by just one goal.

Fike pushed their record up to 8-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for J.H. Rose, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-2 record this season.
