Football Recap: Sho-Ban Comes Up Short

Sho-Ban scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the North Gem Cowboys, falling 36-14. The Chiefs have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

North Gem found their leader in freshman Clay Johnson, who rushed for 154 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Those 154 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Johnson.

Sho-Ban's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for North Gem, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sho-Ban will take on Mackay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Gem, they will head out to take on Garden Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
