Basketball Game Preview: KIPP Esperanza Eagles vs. Design Tech Dragons

The KIPP Esperanza Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Design Tech Dragons at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, KIPP Esperanza lost to East Palo Alto Academy at home by a 56-38 margin.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Eddie Whiteside, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Bush, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 67 points the game before, Design Tech was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They were beaten by Gunn 68-15. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.

KIPP Esperanza's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Design Tech, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.
