Soccer Game Preview: Sayre vs. Frederick Douglass + How To Watch

Sayre hasn't had much luck against Frederick Douglass recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Spartans will take on the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, Sayre didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln County and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Frederick Douglass fell victim to Cathedral Prep and their airtight defense on Sunday. They came up short against the Ramblers, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Frederick Douglass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 127th in Kentucky, while Cathedral Prep are ranked 22nd in Pennsylvania).

Frederick Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Sayre, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Sayre might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Frederick Douglass in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
