Football Recap: Wausaukee Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wausaukee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Florence Bobcats and fell 62-34. Even if the Rangers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Despite the loss, Wausaukee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hank Nuetzel threw for 179 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 48 yards. Andrew Lawrence was another key player, rushing for 118 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

Wausaukee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Florence, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

Coming up, Wausaukee will take on Lena/Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will need to watch out since the Titians have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Florence, they will head out on the road to face off against Three Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Bluejays' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
