Volleyball Recap: Vista Grande Takes a Loss

Vista Grande was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Canyon del Oro Dorados. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Vista Grande was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Canyon del Oro's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-21.

Canyon del Oro can attribute much of their success to Jaycee Cook, who had 20 digs and three assists. That's the most assists Cook has posted over her last five matches.

Vista Grande's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Canyon del Oro, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Vista Grande didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Maricopa on the 25th. As for Canyon del Oro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mountain View on the 25th.
