Basketball Recap: Coalgate Victorious

Coalgate saw some tournament action on Friday. They managed a 55-49 victory over the Talihina Golden Tigers.

Despite the defeat, Talihina had strong showings from Cy Montgomery, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 17 points, and Landen Griffith, who posted 12 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Montgomery now owns an excellent 46.9% shooting accuracy.

The win got Coalgate back to even at 2-2. As for Talihina, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Coming up, Coalgate will be playing at home against Achille at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Talihina, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-43 victory against Antlers on the 10th.
