Gray Collegiate Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Mintz led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Karlee Phelps, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Tamya Hutchinson and Morgan Scott certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Hutchinson scored 17 points along with nine rebounds, while Scott dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Hutchinson's 11th in a row with at least ten points.
Gray Collegiate Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.
Gray Collegiate Academy will take on American Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Hilton Head Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
