Rush-Henrietta put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Webster Thomas Titans by a score of 59-52. Given the Royal Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Titans are ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Avery Council was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 15 en route to 29 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Jalen Taggart, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Rush-Henrietta pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Webster Thomas, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Victor the next time they take the court. Webster Thomas will head out to face Victor on Saturday, while Rush-Henrietta will host them at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th.
