Baseball Recap: Episcopal Comes Up Short

Episcopal lost against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maroon fell just short of the Saints by a score of 5-4.

Charlie Wilhelm was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Wilhelm was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Wilhelm wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Truman Albright, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Episcopal has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15-1 record this season. As for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.

While Episcopal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
