Basketball Recap: Lincoln Prep Takes a Loss

Lincoln Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-8 loss at the hands of the Southwood Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Cowboys are ranked 67th).

Lincoln Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Southwood, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lincoln Prep Panthers take on the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwood has already played their next matchup (against Loyola College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
