Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pratt). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Smoky Valley Vikings a 17-0 shutout on Friday. The Greenbacks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Pratt's tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Smoky Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pratt will host Hesston at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Swathers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Greenbacks surely won't give up without a fight. Smoky Valley will be paying especially close attention to Pratt's contest: after Pratt faces off against Nickerson, they'll take on Smoky Valley again on Friday.
