Softball Recap: Licking Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Licking won against Steelville on Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Wildcats beat the Cardinals by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Licking's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Steelville, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Coming up, Licking will be playing in front of their home fans against Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Steelville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
