Baseball Recap: Hesperia Christian Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Hesperia Christian won the last time they faced Desert Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Patriots walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Knights. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

Israel Torres was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Christopher Dekeyrel was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Hesperia Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.

Hesperia Christian now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Desert Christian, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hesperia Christian will welcome Excelsior Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Desert Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Antelope Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Antelopes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.41 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
