Football Game Preview: Wootton Patriots vs. South Hagerstown Rebels

The Wootton Patriots will face off against the South Hagerstown Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wootton hasn't scored more than 12 points for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Wootton's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Clarksburg by a score of 12-0. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Wootton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Reid led the charge by rushing for 112 yards. Reid is becoming a predictor of the Patriots' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kamran Vahedi, who rushed for 57 yards and one score on only five carries.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6. As for South Hagerstown, their record is now an identical 3-6.
