The Easley Green Wave will take on the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Easley proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Greenwood 3-2.
Jalyn McGee made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Merck, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Payton Todd also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, T.L. Hanna waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Red Raiders.
Emma Williams 2027 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Izzy Webb 2028 was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Kendall Coakley 2029, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
T.L. Hanna's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Easley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Easley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like T.L. Hanna struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
