Softball Recap: West Monroe Takes a Loss

West Monroe blew Haughton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Haughton got their revenge. West Monroe fell just short of Haughton by a score of 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rebels have suffered since March 9, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for West Monroe and nudges their season record down to 10-13. As for Haughton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-12.

Looking ahead, West Monroe will face off against Neville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Haughton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Claiborne Christian on the 29th.
