Softball Recap: East Hampton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Morgan on Friday, East Hampton came back down to earth. The Bellringers took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Branford Thunderbirds on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-4 defeat on Monday.

East Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for North Branford, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

While East Hampton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
