Volleyball Recap: Scranton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Scranton and Wilkes-Barre squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Scranton had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Wolfpack. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Scranton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-14.

Tijan Njai went supernova For Wilkes-Barre., getting nine digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Njai a new career-high. Joseph Rea was another key player, getting 13 digs and three aces.

Scranton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Wilkes-Barre, they pushed their record up to 15-11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Scranton nor the Wolfpack have any future games scheduled.
