Basketball Recap: Westmoreland Bulldogs vs. New York Mills Marauders

Westmoreland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-31 loss at the hands of the New York Mills Marauders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-40 back in January.

New York Mills was led to victory by David Goodfriend and Aiden Miller. Goodfriend posted 17 points, while Miller almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. Goodfriend has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Ra'Id Adams was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Westmoreland's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for New York Mills, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

When Westmoreland and New York Mills next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Westmoreland will square off against Cooperstown and their 17-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, New York Mills will try to stop Morrisville-Eaton's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
