Football Game Preview: Lynn Classical Rams vs. Newburyport Clippers + How To Watch

The Lynn Classical Rams will head out to square off against the Newburyport Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Things were looking good for Lynn Classical after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 20-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waltham. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 8-0 in the first quarter.

Although Lynn Classical took the loss, they still got scores from Charles Washington and Gianni McKay.

Even if they lost, Lynn Classical's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Manny Mendez, Jahzmel Romero, and Echeme Dede, who each picked up one sack apiece. Lynn Classical got some further help from Mendez: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Newburyport not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 8, 2024 (when they won 53-19). They put the hurt on Revere with a sharp 27-6 win.

Lynn Classical better keep an eye on Bode Pessolano. He was instrumental in Newburyport's win, rushing for 143 yards and four scores on only 13 carries. Those 143 rushing yards gave Pessolano a new career-high.

Newburyport is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Lynn Classical, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6.
