Marcos de Niza took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.

Cactus Shadows' victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-8. As for Marcos de Niza, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
