Flag Football Recap: Montclair's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday + How To Watch

After a string of four wins, Montclair's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaffey Tigers. The Cavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 14-0.

Montclair's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tatianna Valenzuela, who rushed for 67 yards on only seven carries, and also threw for 101 yards and one touchdown.

Even if they lost, Montclair's defense still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. Camilla Mendez led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by herself. Desire Castro has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times she's played.

Montclair's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Chaffey, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-10.
