Basketball Game Preview: Kofa Kings vs. Gila Ridge Hawks

Kofa hasn't had much luck against Gila Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Kofa Kings will head out on the road to take on the Gila Ridge Hawks at 7:00 p.m.

Kofa is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. The contest between them and Lake Havasu didn't end well, with Kofa falling 59-43.

Despite their defeat, Kofa saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Christian Curiel, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 14 points and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Those 14 points gave Curiel a new career-high. Luis Negrete was another key player, putting up ten points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Gila Ridge hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They claimed a resounding 71-23 victory over San Luis. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly 48 points.

Gila Ridge's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Kofa, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Kofa took a serious blow against Gila Ridge in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 75-33. Can Kofa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
