Baseball Game Preview: McLane Highlanders vs. Edison Tigers

The McLane Highlanders are taking a road trip to challenge the Edison Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

McLane blew Torres out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Torres got their revenge. The Highlanders fell just short of the Toros by a score of 6-4. Surprisingly, this marked the Highlanders' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

McLane saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leland Flores, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Edison nor Justin Garza made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Tigers fell just short of the Guardians by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have struggled against the Guardians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

McLane has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17-1.
