Softball Game Preview: Crestwood Chargers vs. Thurston Eagles

The Crestwood Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Thurston Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Crestwood is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Robichaud just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Thurston couldn't beat Annapolis on Wednesday even though they stacked 12 runs on them in the first inning. The Eagles came up short against the Cougars, falling 21-14. The Eagles have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Crestwood's draw makes their record 4-13-1 this season. As for Thurston, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Crestwood suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Thurston when the teams last played back in April. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
