Basketball Game Preview: Volunteer Falcons vs. Sullivan East Patriots

Volunteer is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a hard 67-48 fall against Cherokee.

Volunteer's defeat came about despite a quality game from Lucas Gilliam, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points and four steals. Gilliam has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Griffin Head, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Sullivan East was beaten by Mountain Heritage 72-44 on Monday.

Volunteer's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Sullivan East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Volunteer was able to grind out a solid victory over Sullivan East in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 74-61. Will Volunteer repeat their success, or does Sullivan East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
