Soccer Recap: River Ridge Gets the Win

River Ridge won the last time they faced East Lake and things went their way on Tuesday too. The River Ridge Royal Knights had just enough and edged the East Lake Eagles out 3-2. Given the Royal Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Eagles are ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

River Ridge hit East Lake with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landen Hebb, Dylan Fee, and Marko Maric.

River Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for East Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

River Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 win against Hudson on the 11th. As for East Lake, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Seminole at 8:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. East Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.
