Softball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Comes Up Short

Northside - Pinetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-5 to the Manteo Redskins. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly five runs.

Riley Hudson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Megan Hopkins, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Northside - Pinetown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Manteo, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Northside - Pinetown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-6 loss against Pamlico County on the 28th. As for Manteo, they have also already played their next game, a 10-9 defeat against Currituck County on the 28th.
